FACE-TO-FACE WORKSHOP:
Technology Deployment for In-Building and Private Wireless Networks
4G and 5G cellular networks inside buildings are based on a variety of network architectures and spectrum bands. New business models have also emerged to subsidize deployment of such networks instead of just relying on financing from mobile network operators. Enterprises who have mainly used Wi-Fi as their only private networking technology now have 3GPP based options to either deploy their own managed private LTE or 5G networks using lightly licensed (rest of the world) or shared licensed (USA) mid-band spectrum or subscribe to a dedicated 5G private network slice from mobile network operators. Utilization of FR2 spectrum bands like mmWave with careful RF planning for indoor venues should also be considered where significant capacity enhancement is required.

WEBINAR: Layer 2 Communication in Cellular Network Use Cases and Technology
In the crucial domains of hospitals, utilities and factories, IT networks rely heavily on Ethernet technology. Recognizing the growing demand for improved mobility within these networks, a critical need has emerged. While robust mobility solutions have been successfully developed for cellular networks, traditionally based on IP technology, a transformative feature has been introduced by 3GPP, known as 5GLAN. The 5GLAN feature represents a significant leap forward, enabling the utilization of native Ethernet frames within cellular networks. This innovative approach not only enhances the mobility of devices within local area networks (LANs) but also does so in an exceptionally cost-efficient manner, making it a powerful tool for delivering robust mobility functionality. Exploring use cases that have been successfully executed using the groundbreaking 5GLAN technology and a deep dive into the technological intricacies, shedding light on how 5GLAN is revolutionizing mobility within local area networks. Insight into the cost-efficient and powerful solutions that 5GLAN brings to the table, unlocking new possibilities for mobility in critical sectors such as healthcare, utilities, and manufacturing.

WEBINAR: Next-Gen UWB and Spectral Usage in the 5-10 GHz Bands
Impulse-based ultra-wideband (UWB) has recently gained significant market momentum. Such radio technology utilizes the 3GHz to 10GHz frequency band to enable emerging secure ranging, localization, and communication applications. With the newly developed IEEE 802.15.4ab standard, standardized radar sensing, especially in-cabin sensing, has become another demanding application. On the other hand, the UWB frequency band partially overlaps the lower part of the FR3 band (6GHz to 24GHz) such that the conventionally used UWB Channel 5 and even Channel 9 become more congested as the spectrum is and will be used by other wireless protocols.

FACE-TO-FACE WORKSHOP:
Automotive Radar and ADAS Evolution for 2030 and Beyond
Driven to massive progress and innovation in SoC techniques and massive AI incorporation, a dramatic trend towards central processing is observed. For vision systems this has been the trend and has led to intelligent central units and simple “stupid” camera heads. Can we expect the same path in automotive Radar? A second potential innovative path is radar networks. Can we envision radar networks that provide the radar performance of real imaging radars (today 48x48 RxTx)? Examining state-of-the-art technology innovation, assessing centralised and distributed architecture innovation. Identifying potential future development paths for SoC providers, Radar-Tier 2 and Radar-Tier1. Assessing optimum architectures for L1-5 vehicles and considering interconnection bus options.
