Workshop Background:

For the last several years, the IWPC has developed a very active international security sensor program engaging Government Agencies, Global Equipment Manufacturers and the entire technology supply chain. These activities have been designed to explore and interactively understand the security sensor needs of these Government Agencies and understand the capabilities of advanced Mmwave and THz systems and supporting technologies.

 

To date, we have explored requirements and technologies for aviation and surface transport security and Critical Infrastructure protection.

 

This time, we will review the evaluation and implementation of MMwave/THz technologies in aviation security, look at how Mmwave technologies can be part of an integrated security system and hear about the potential roles of Mmwave/THz in commercial security and military applications.

Workshop Goals:

The Goals of this Workshop are to continue to explore Government Agency and commercial security sensor requirements in aviation security, commercial loss prevention and other “stand-off” applications.

  • What are the Government Agency and commercial requirements?

  • What sensor technologies are currently available to meet these requirements?

  • What technologies need to be developed to meet these requirements?

  • Where do non-cooperating applications and standoff technologies fit into the picture?

  • What is needed in the future to develop layered security systems using multiple layers of integrated and disparate sensor technologies?

For all companies who will be making a presentation at the Workshop:

You are invited to submit an advance copy of your presentation, complete with graphics and illustrations.

These materials will be copied and handed out at the workshop and included in the IWPC Web site.
