Introduction

Driven to massive progress and innovation in SoC techniques and massive AI incorporation, a dramatic trend towards central processing is observed.  For vision systems this has been the trend and has led to intelligent central units and simple camera heads.  Can we expect the same path in automotive Radar? Assesing digital modulation, interference mitigation and emerging innovation. Assessing advances in software, security and higher frequency solutions. Is it time for radar to replace ultrasonic sensors for parking? Considering cost, size, field of view and blind spot mitigation. Considering interface options, including SerDes and Ethernet. How will AI impact systems and at what signal processing layer.  Are de facto, or industry standards emerging for interfaces and MMIC formats? Understanding cost and performanec trade-offs for 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 MMICs.

Workshop Goals

    • Assessing the Impact of Centralized Architectures on ADAS Systems
    • What Role Will AI Play in ADAS and AD?
    • Exploring ADAS Innovation and Progress:  Will Radar Follow the Path of Vision Systems?
    • Considering High-Speed, Asymmetric vs. Symmetric In-Vehicle Network (IVN) Technologies, Including SerDes and Ethernet
    • Understanding Evolving Software and Security Opportunities and Challenges
